SEPARATE STRING FILES (Five 4,336kB .wav files)
ABOUT THE RECORDINGS & AUDIO PROPERTIES
LENGTH: 50 secs X 5 wav files
BIT DEPTH: 16-bit
SAMPLE RATE: 44.1kHz
SIGNAL-TO-NOISE-RATIO: -96dB.
Recorded with a GK STUDIO EXTREME breakout pre-amp, into an upgraded M-AUDIO 1010LT with 15 X AD8066 state-of-the-art op-amps. The -96dB noise level is measured with a moderate playing strength. Heavy guitar solos can easily peak a maximum of -105dB dynamic range and beyond with GK STUDIO EXTREME. The Roland GK3 preamp separate strings would have measured around -86dB with a passive breakout box. This is still an excellent noise figure, and well worth a serious venture into recording separate strings. The TOTAL-HARMONIC-DISTORTION figure for GK STUDIO EXTREME is 0.00453%.
